1. When You Find Out After The Second Leg That The Leaderboard Has a New Leader

When you take part in Race Across The World: The Experience, you’re given a leaderboard to check your progress against.
If you decide to play head-to-head with a team (or multiple teams) of your choice, you’ll be able to see your rivals’ progress as the race unfolds. Otherwise, you’ll be playing against a random selection of other past teams.
But don’t worry, if the competitive element of the experience doesn’t appeal to you, feel free to ignore it. It’s your race, let it play out how you want to!
2. When You Can’t Decide What to Spend Your Checkpoint Discount On…

Whether you choose to play in London or Manchester, we’ve chosen some epic locations to act as checkpoints for you.
All 3 checkpoints on your race have accompanying venues where you’ll pick up a physical puzzle to solve, and if you’re in need of some food or drink, feel free to do so with a nifty, Race Experience exclusive discount!
Oh, and if you need time to deliberate what you want to order, relax. The timer pauses when you reach a checkpoint, so dither, drink, eat, rest up and then when you’re ready, get back out there!
3. POV: You’re Trying to Find a Day That Everyone’s Free to Play Race Across The World: The Experience…

Here’s an all-too familiar scenario: you’ve finally worked out that all your friends happen to be free in 7 Wednesdays’ time at 11.30 am and one of them reveals they’ve booked in goat yoga at the last minute. Sigh.
As tricky as it is to ascertain everyone’s schedules, the easiest way to book Race Across The World: The Experience is to book all of your tickets at the same time.
To streamline the process, we’ve designed our booking system for teams. If you want to play head-to-head, be sure to book all of your teams at the same time to ensure you’re all on the same booking.
And if you’re booking a large group, contact us so we can block out time slots for you!
4. When You Realise Your Budget is Going to Last The Whole of The Next Leg

Teamwork makes the dream work, but a healthy budget is really something to celebrate.
One of the core elements of Race Across The World: The Experience is in-game budget management, and without giving too many spoilers away, there are a few ways you can go about this.
Of course, you can splash your cash or go thrifty, “work” to make up for any mistakes or just to prove you’re a true brainiac and budget-whizz…but we’ll leave it up to you to figure out how your team will navigate this part of the race.
5. The Face You Make When You Spot a Rival Team Going in The Opposite Direction

While you’re out and about on your race, there’s a high chance you’ll spot some fellow (and yes, rival,) racers.
We like to think you’d be encouraging towards them, but if you’ve really got your game face on, the best thing you can do is ignore them!
This is your race and your choices determine which route you take. So even if you see a team making a beeline in the opposite direction, relax: teams get sent to different checkpoint venues and follow different routes to get there. Keep your head in the game and all will be well!
6. How We Sleep at Night Knowing We’re a Winning Team on Race Across The World: The Experience…

Just look at this team, snuggled up like they’ve been crowned all-time winners in the game of life as well as the race.
The leaderboard might give you all the vital statistics on your performance in the race, but there’s one thing we can’t measure: the fun, joy and memories you made during the race.
And it’s not for a lack of trying, either.
We’re very proud to say we’re one of the highest rated experiences in London on Fever, and we really do read every single review teams send in. And just to cement our joy, we've also recently been chosen as finalists in the 2025 Licensing Awards!
7. I Wouldn’t Tell You My Team Won Race Across The World: The Experience, But There Would Be Signs…

How often do you wish you could just stop what you’re doing and get away from it all?
If wanderlust beckons but time constraints and real-life budgets stop you, Race Across The World: The Experience is here to remind you that an adventure can be had even if it’s just beyond your back garden.
We now have two experiences available, one in London and another in Manchester.
And the best part? Both can be made wheelchair accessible, dog and pram-friendly, and as long as teams consist of at least 2 players (one 18+), anyone and everyone can take part in the race.
8. Understanding the Assignment Is About More Than Finishing First on The Leaderboard

Another part of Race Across The World: The Experience is being able to tackle all sorts of challenges (and under time pressure, if you choose to pay attention to the clock!).
Every step of the way, teams have to solve a range of riddles, brainteasers and physical puzzles, and you’ll be surprised how much wit can make a difference to your overall race time.
What do the puzzles add to the experience?
Well, firstly, more human interaction with your fellow teammates (which is a 21st century way of saying that you actually need to talk to your fellow humans). Secondly, a chance to interact with urban environments in a more mindful way and pay attention to things you otherwise might have missed.
And last but not least, a chance to get some absolutely incredible pics. Like this one!
