Why Race Across The World: The Experience is The Ultimate Birthday Activity

Find out why Race Across The World: The Experience is the perfect birthday activity!

Race Across The World: The Experience was made for teams of two and more, so if you’re planning on celebrating something or somebody special, this may just be the perfect activity for you.

Race Across The World: The Experience as a birthday activity

There are loads of reasons why you might decide to spend your (or someone else’s) birthday racing around London or Manchester, and we’re going to list them for you so you can subtly hint to whoever’s organising your next birthday party (and we’ll even hear from some previous birthday racers, too!).

Age is Just a Number & Everyone’s Invited

We’ve all heard this saying, but in the context of the race, it’s a mantra.

While you do have to be aged 18+ to purchase tickets, the races are fully inclusive so people of all ages can take part with participating adults, and there are wheelchair-accessible routes available too.

To prove just how versatile the races are in terms of age ranges, here are just a few of the ages people celebrated by completing the race (that we know of): 11, 18, 20, 25, 27, 30, 32, 40, 46, 50, 55, 60

It Makes An Unusual (But Memorable) Gift

Can you ever remember receiving a present that included an adventure, quality time with friends or family, rest stops at local pubs and cafes and escape room style-puzzles? Probably not.

It goes without saying that fans of Race Across The World will be thrilled to receive tickets for their birthday, but it’s also a great option if your intended recipient is tricky to buy for. You know the ones we mean, the ones who already have everything, won’t ask for anything in particular and explicitly forbid you from buying them another mug.

Here’s what Team Keeping Up With The Joneseys said:

“This experience was so so good! We bought it for my mum as a birthday present and we love the show and it gave us nothing but good memories! We preferred to do the race slightly slower as this meant we could enjoy the whole experience as a whole a lot more but would also recommend doing it quickly as I think you would get lots of memories from that too!”

It’s Also a Thoughtful, Affordable Present

It might also be comforting to know that buying vouchers for the experience is as hassle-free as it gets.

You don’t need to know the recipient’s schedule or even factor in shipping times: simply choose an amount to give and then either print the voucher or send it via email. Then it’ll be up to them when they choose to book and play!

And just to reiterate, whether you’re celebrating knowing someone for decades or you’re celebrating a special someone’s second decade on the earth, Race Across The World: The Experience is the perfect activity for making memories.

Team Fernandes fall into that second category:

“Absolutely amazing day out, so much fun! We did this for my boyfriend’s 20th birthday and highly recommend if you’re looking for a fun activity.”

Your Dog Can Join The Party

We get it: your dog being able to celebrate your birthday with you is a non-negotiable.

Luckily, Race Across The World: The Experience has dog-friendly routes available which means that they are more than welcome to join your team!

You’ll also have the benefit of having an adorable mascot to cheer you on as you reach the checkpoints and finish line and, who knows, maybe they’ll even sniff out the clues before you do?

Team Lester brought along their four-legged teammate to celebrate. Here’s what they said:

“A perfect way to spend a family day out and celebrate Mum's birthday. Good for all ages and dogs!”

Team Up or Go Head-to-Head for Competitive Fun

Let’s just say you’re a competitive person and you’ve also got more mates than chairs in your house. Now what?

Instead of squeezing everybody into your back garden or living room, you can invite as many or as few people as you like to take part in Race Across The World: The Experience.

As long as there are 2 to 8 players per team, it’s up to you who gets to play with who and whether you play against each other competitively or as a group (groups larger than 8 will have to split into smaller teams to play).

Here’s what team Squad 11 had to say:

“Great fun was had by all. Perfect way to celebrate our son's birthday being out and about. Would love to do again!”

There’s Something For Everyone to Enjoy

Last but not least, something that everyone who’s ever organised a birthday party will be delighted to hear: there really is something for everyone to enjoy on Race Across The World: The Experience.

Whatever you’re good at, you’ll get a chance to flex your talent on the race: some people are born puzzle-solvers, others are adventure seekers, and some just bring the right vibes to any and every scenario.

All are equally necessary, and don’t forget, there are plenty of pubs and cafes (with discounts!) to visit along the way, so no washing up is necessary at the end!
