If you’re looking to plan ahead of playing Race Across The World: The Experience, you’ve come to the right place.
The good news is, you don’t need much to get started. You won’t need to apply for visas or flight tickets (unless you’re travelling to London or Manchester from really far away!), but there are a few things you might need to consider before booking.
To make life easy, we’ve put together this little planning checklist to help make your race as smooth as possible.

Pick Your Destination
It sounds self-explanatory, but there are now three Race Across The World experiences available, and two of them are in the same city.
These destinations are The City of London, Manchester and London’s West End.
Pick your desired race location from our homepage and you’ll be directed to the correct place to purchase your tickets!
Purchase Tickets in The Teams You Wish to Play In
Regardless of where you want to race, the booking system is built to accommodate teams rather than individual players.
So if you want to play as a team of two, select “team of 2 adults”. If you wanted to play two versus two, select “team of 2 adults” twice using the “+” symbol. However, if you wish to play as a team of four altogether, select “team of 4 adults”.
Tickets are available for children over the age of 10, these will be added to the team of paying adults as children cannot race without an adult present.
Children under 10 play for free with paying adults.
Complimentary carer tickets are available by contacting us, just send us an email.

Ticket Availability and Time Slots
As you’ll see when booking, tickets are available at different price points depending on the day and time. Off-peak tickets are available for a cheaper price.
We release tickets in batches, typically in 3 month installments. If you are trying to book tickets for a month that is not available yet, please keep an eye on your emails and/or our social media pages as this is where we announce new ticket drops.
Getting Set Up
Before you finalise your booking, double-check that you’ve entered the correct email address as this is where your confirmation and setup instructions will be sent.
You will be able to set up your dashboard up to 7 days before your race starts. Don’t worry, the race timer won’t begin until you send “START” to the welcome message, which you will receive once your login details have been finalised.
This is also where you tell us if you have any requirements for your race, e.g. step-free or dog-friendly.

What to Bring and What to Wear
We’ve put together a handy packing list for Race Across The World: The Experience if you’d like to get the detailed version, but all you really need to play is a phone (with plenty of battery!), mobile data, comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate attire.
The race runs rain or shine, so we’d always advise bringing an umbrella or a raincoat. You never know, after all!
Getting Help and Troubleshooting
Help is always available to players in-game, simply send “HINT” to get an extra clue, or “LOST” to receive directions that will get you back on track. Note that repeated use of these comes with a time penalty.
If you need help getting set up or with any queries, you can reach us by sending us an email or a text on WhatsApp.
In extremely rare instances, we may experience technical issues that impact your race. We will notify you as soon as possible if this occurs. Usually these can be sorted quickly, but if there is an outage or we expect significant delays, your race will be rescheduled for a time that is convenient for you.

Discounts and Using Your In-Game Budget
The only time you’ll ever pay for anything extra on the race is if you choose to buy food and/or drink at the optional rest stops at checkpoints. These are either pubs or cafes, so please be aware that alcohol may be served at these premises.
Just like the show, you’ll be assigned an in-game budget that you have to manage throughout the race. All teams start with the same start budget. This is virtual currency that cannot be supplemented by, or exchanged for, legal tender.
Read our in-depth guide on how budgeting works here.
Start and End Locations
The start locations for all the races are generic. Once you arrive at the start location, send “START” to your welcome message to receive directions for the checkpoint where you’ll collect your race pack(s).
From this point onwards, you’ll have to solve puzzles and follow directions to uncover the next checkpoints.
Just like the TV show, we keep the final checkpoint hidden as a surprise. If you need to know the rough area or you’d like to book an end venue, contact us and we’ll be glad to help.
