Race Across The World: The Experience was made for teams, so it makes perfect sense that you might consider it as part of your work social, team building activity or part of a fun corporate event.
If you’re trying to persuade whoever organises your corporate events or you’re an organiser wondering if this experience is for you, you’re in luck!
We’ve listed 8 reasons why Race Across The World: The Experience is the perfect activity to keep your colleagues on their toes, their minds engaged, and communication flowing (without the awkward icebreakers).
Here they are, and feel free to share this with your organiser so they know what’s in store!
1 - The Experience Can Accommodate Groups of All Sizes
There’s a lot of pressure involved in choosing something all your colleagues will enjoy, whether that’s just a handful of people or several hundred. Luckily, you don’t have to worry about that here!
Large groups will have to be split into teams of 2-8 players where they’ll compete head-to-head. Apart from that, Race Across The World: The Experience can be enjoyed by all!
Got any questions or need a hand setting your teams up? Send us an email and we’ll get back to you!

2 - Team Dynamics Evolve as You Problem Solve
Race Across The World: The Experience is about much more than just being quick.
There are many ways to be a winner in this game, and playing along is one of the best ways we can think of to really mix up team dynamics.
When it comes to setting up the teams, the organiser has two choices: mix everybody up or have an inter-departmental showdown.
The first option is perfect if you’re looking for your colleagues to get to know each other better, particularly if they rarely rub shoulders in the office.
The latter is for the more competitive among you, especially if there’s already an internal (but friendly!) rivalry brewing!

3 - You Can Have Your Own Private Leaderboard
As soon as the teams have been set up and they’ve set off, you’ll be able to watch them move up and down the leaderboard as they progress.
The teams are also able to track their rivals to see how their race is going!
Your private leaderboard will be automatically set up so, no need to request one.

4 - Enjoy Breaks Along The Way And Add an End Venue
Race Across The World: The Experience is a battle of endurance, wit and puzzle-solving, and that can be hungry/thirsty work indeed.
Because of this, and to give players a chance to rest up between race legs, we’ve included in-built checkpoint stops with discounts at local bars and cafes.
If you’re working to a time schedule or you’d rather save the food and drinks until after the event, players can choose to ignore rest stops (just send “READY”!).
Speaking of which, if you want to announce the winners at an end venue or give the teams a chance to celebrate/commiserate after the race, we can help with that! Just let us know what your requirements are and we’ll put you in touch with some of our recommended end venues.

5 - It’s Environmentally-Friendly
Part of the joy of Race Across The World: The Experience is interacting with urban environments and appreciating the metropolis for what it is: a feast for the senses. But we’re also passionate about protecting what we have and the resources around us.
As the experience is an accessibility-friendly foot race, players will spend most of their time outdoors in the fresh air, using the greenest forms of transport available to us: walking and/or using mobility aids.
While teams are welcome to keep their race packs, we encourage anyone who doesn’t want them to hand them in to be reused. Our aim is to reuse as many props as we can to keep our environmental impact as low as possible.

6 - It’s Accessible and Inclusive For All
One of the many wonderful aspects about Race Across The World: The Experience is everybody’s ability to contribute, whether that’s through critical thinking, observational skills, cunning use of budget tactics or keeping the team’s spirits up.
It’s important to us that all participants in the race feel included and able to take on the challenges ahead of them, so we’ve ensured there are step-free routes, dog-friendly and, of course, all are suitable for guide dogs.
Let us know if you have any queries about accessibility and how the race works.

7 - Teamwork Makes The Dream Work
Unlike some traditional team-building activities where you can hone your skills ahead of time, Race Across The World: The Experience requires very little prep.
Once the teams have been set up, there’s nothing team members can do ahead of time to change their destiny until they reach the first checkpoint.
Together, they’ll have to think outside the box and overcome challenges in real time. All decisions made can alter the layout of the leaderboard, so cooperation is key!

8 - It’s a Dive Into The Unexpected (In More Ways Than One)
Did you know that one of your colleagues is secretly a mental maths genius? That the person who says “good morning” to you every day speaks three languages? Or that your boss is terrible at reading timetables?
We don’t want to give too much away about the kind of skills that are required for Race Across The World: The Experience, but we can promise you this: you’ll almost certainly discover something new about your colleagues and the city that you’ve never noticed before!
