Tickets have just been released and now, Londoners are able to step into their own version of the BBC’s much-loved travel challenge as Race Across The World: The Experience makes its live debut. Launched in May 2025, this gripping live experience takes the thrill of the TV series and reimagines it as a real-life adventure through the streets of London. Designed for fans of the show, puzzle-lovers and curious explorers alike, Race Across The World: The Experience invites you to put your problem-solving, decision-making and teamwork skills to the test without ever leaving the city.

What Is The Race Across The World Experience?

In essence, the Race Across The World Experience is a high-stakes, accessibility-friendly race across London. But it’s also a battle of wits, time and budget management and an adventure with cleverly crafted puzzles and challenges.  In teams of 2-8 players, you'll navigate your way between three mystery checkpoints, each one unlocked by a unique combination of riddles, physical puzzles and real-world decisions. In other words, it's an experience that rewards sharp thinking just as much as quick movement. Your goal will be to outsmart the other teams, manage your resources and reach the final checkpoint with the healthiest budget in the quickest time (if you’re looking to win, that is!). If competition and rushing around isn’t your thing, you can take your time and explore London at a leisurely pace. It’s your race, how you approach it is up to you!

For over six years, we’ve been designing interactive experiences that help people see their cities in a whole new light. In 2024, thousands of players took part in our trails across London, Manchester, New York City, San Francisco, Sydney, Singapore, and beyond. Our mission has always been simple: to uncover the hidden stories, quirks and histories that most people walk past every day.  We’ve grown since our early days and have added new experiences to our roster: murder mysteries, character-driven narratives and even picnic trails with locally-sourced treats.  But for Race Across The World: The Experience, we kicked things up another notch.

You’ll still find the elements our players love: interactive exploration, immersion in urban environments, local pub and café recommendations and receiving clues to your phone(s) through WhatsApp. But this time, it’s all been dialled up for an even more gripping live experience. Race Across The World: The Experience is a city-wide challenge with cryptic riddles, physical puzzles and surprise elements thrown in. Yes, phones are involved, but only to enhance the journey. You won’t be glued to a screen; you’ll be looking up, out and around as you work together to crack clues and navigate London. Race Across The World: The Experience is about visiting real locations and real exploration. It’s about managing an in-game budget and working out a strategy as a team. And it’s made for everyone, whether you’re a pair, a group of friends, a family, or a large team, the game is designed to be inclusive, accessible, and unforgettable.
